Hello and welcome to my website!
My name is Patrick Gregg and I am a camera operator, cinematographer, and researcher currently based in Dublin, Ireland. It is a great joy for me to help directors and cinematographers develop technical solutions to realize their visions, so if you are interested in working together please reach out!
I started Steadicam operating in 2017 after attending the Steadicam Operators Association workshop. I further developed my skills as an operator by enrolling in a masters degree in cinematography at the prestigious Filmová a televizní fakulta Akademie múzických umění v Praze (FAMU) in 2019. At this university I had many opportunities to experiment with my own craft and hone my operating skills on the sets of my peers. In 2023 I extended my skills by completing the Arri Trinity and Trinity 2 Certified Training course in Munich. I also attended a course on broadcast camera operating in multicam formats, from IADT in 2023. Currently I am enrolled in Master’s by Research program at the National Film School of Ireland at IADT. My research investigates the specific ways in which camera technology mediates perception using a post-phenomenological framework. (forthcoming)
On this website you can find examples of my work, a list of my equipment, and information on how to contact me.
